Our Story

Built from direct institutional experience.

Consultativ was founded on 16 years of direct experience building knowledge systems, communications infrastructure, learning ecosystems, and digital transformation initiatives inside the World Bank Group, including the International Finance Corporation.

Before companies called it a Company Brain, this work lived under knowledge management, organizational learning, process design, and institutional memory. The difference now is that AI has made the cost of undocumented knowledge impossible to ignore. What was once an efficiency problem is now a strategic liability.

We know what institutional knowledge looks like from the inside. We know how decisions get made when the org chart stops being useful. We know how critical know-how moves through informal networks, gets lost during leadership transitions, and resurfaces during operational crises months later.

We have built the systems designed to capture that knowledge. We have also seen where those systems fail.

When we assess your knowledge architecture, we are not applying a generic maturity model. We are drawing on institutional judgment about how complex organizations actually work and what it takes to make AI reliable inside them.

Four principles that shape every engagement.

Knowledge is the actual bottleneck.
The model is rarely the whole problem. The harder issue is the knowledge your company never made explicit: decisions, exceptions, handoffs, judgment calls, and edge cases. Fix the knowledge layer and the rest becomes easier to solve.
Depth beats breadth.
We work with a limited number of clients at any time. Every engagement receives senior attention, not a junior team armed with a framework. The quality of your Company Brain depends on the quality of judgment applied to building it.
AI transformation is organizational work.
Technology is the easy part. Getting an organization to examine, document, and restructure how it actually works requires change management expertise most AI firms do not have. That is where Consultativ operates.
We do not start with tools. We start with the work.
